Mayoral Request Program
The Mayoral request program enforces the Municipality of French Rivers's commitment to supporting our community, our residents, and important milestones.
The Mayor’s services under this program will bring light to the economic, social and cultural activity in the municipality.
Please Note: All submissions are to be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance of the event or deadline to allow Staff and Mayor to work with groups, individuals, and organizations and fulfill requests. Please start by filling out our online form below and a staff member will reach out to you.
Services include:
Request a Special Greeting or Message from the Mayor
Letters of greeting from the Mayor, for printed programs or display purposes, are issued to groups, institutions, organizations, or businesses located or hosting events in French River. The event or the organization hosting the event must contribute to the economic, social, and cultural fabric of the Municipality.
Request a Congratulatory Letter from the Mayor
Standardized congratulatory letters and scrolls are issued to organizations within French River or who have contributed to the French River Community to recognize milestone events such as business anniversaries, expansions and acquisitions, local hiring sprees or grand opening.
Request the Mayor to Ribbon-Cutting or Groundbreaking Ceremonies
Businesses or organizations may request the Mayor to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate a brand-new or newly-renovated/relocated business. Businesses or organizations may request the Mayor to a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the first day of construction for a building or other project. (Also known as cutting, sod-cutting, turning the first sod or a sod-turning ceremony). Any request for ribbon-cutting or groundbreaking ceremonies is subject to the Mayor’s availability and schedule. Additionally, approvals of either ceremony are at the discretion of the Mayor.
